一 | It's known that, on Tuesday, actor Ram Charan injured himself on the sets of his upcoming pan-Indian movie, Peddi. Although it was a small injury as per the team, surgery had to be performed to rectify an issue.
Ram Charan goes under the knife
A Hyderabad-based specialist doctor took care of the procedure. The RRR actor has now completely recovered and is set to rejoin the shoot today (March 26). Thanking the doctor, Ram Charan's father and actor, Chiranjeevi, said that it was a "timely and skillful surgery" on his son's eyelid. "It has truly been a blessing. What was a moment of concern for us was eased entirely by your precision, care, and expertise. Your craftsmanship made all the difference, and we are truly grateful," the Megastar wrote on X.

From Chiranjeevi's post, it is evident that the incident did worry the family. Since the incident took place in Hyderabad, the Rangasthalam star could promptly consult a specialist at short notice. Earlier, the makers of Peddi gave an update saying that the hero was doing "absolutely fine". They added, "He had a minor injury to the left eye on the sets, and there was a small procedure done."
Peddi likely getting postponed?
According to the latest buzz, Peddi may not hit the screens on April 30. A postponement is likely on the cards, if the industry talk is anything to go by. Earlier today, Prathyangira Cinemas (Peddi's overseas distributor) postponed the rollout of Peddi's advance bookings from March 27 to April 8. It's speculated that this wouldn't have happened had the theatrical release date remained unchanged. Originally, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, was earlier supposed to be released on March 26. It was moved to April 30 due to Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar 2. And now, another postponement will upset Ram Charan's fans. The new date could be May 21, as we await the official confirmation. Also Read: Ram Charan Sustains Minor Injury on Peddi Film Sets。 British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace wants a major hike in armed forces spending in response to the conflict in Ukraine.,The BBC reported that Wallace will call on Chancellor of the exchequer Rishi Sunak to raise defense spending from around two per cent of GDP — the NATO target figure — to 2.5 percent.,The minister is expected to make comments to that effect when he addresses the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) Land Warfare Conference in Westminster later on Tuesday, before flying to Madrid for the NATO summit there.,"The defense secretary is expected to emphasize that now that the threat has changed, governments must be prepared to invest to keep us safe," said a defense source quoted by Sky News.,"We do not comment on alleged leaks," another defense source insisted, adding: "The defense secretary and the prime minister have always said that the government will respond to any changes in threat, which is why in 2020 the Ministry of Defence received a record defense settlement.",Britain has sent a battalion-sized force of soldiers to Estonia in a bid to confront Russia, while supplying Ukraine with thousands of man-portable anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons, over 120 armored vehicles and three M270 multiple-launch rocket artillery systems.,Wallace claimed earlier in June that Western military aid was helping the Ukrainian military make "significant progress" in the east of the country against Russian and Donbass forces.
